Edenton Farmer's Market is open for the 2011 season. Located at N. Oakum and Dick Street in Edenton, the Market is open 8:00am-Noon. This year some wonderful cheeses and soaps have been added along with seasonal vegetables, free range eggs from happy chickens (you'll never go back to those pale yokes after you've tried these!), organic vegetables and lamb from Somerset Farms, baked goods, beautiful flower arrangements and vases, etc. For more information contact Vero Brentjens, 480-0826; email vaamb@yahoo.com.
Edenton Community Gardens is a project the CEEG has joined. To be located at a former Norfolk Railroad site at 310 W. Queen St., the garden will have many sites for community gardens plus beautiful landscaping which will enhance this space.
